To Burnz, I must state your manoeuvre to render windows XP genuine is rather splendid! and had been successful in downloading high priority downloads which was denied all these years. Moreover the microsoft would continually send a worm now and then ,had my desktop with banners and tray icons stating my window is illegal, I tried to provide them with the genuine keys that was on the window XP CD but unfortunately the effort was pointless. I was living with this annoyance for an year , visited several websites and changed several keys hoping to surmount this hassle but your idea by deactivating the the system through registry did the trick.
